The following images depicts various mining activities carried out in Lebowakgomo wherein Senyane Mine was exploiting Manganese deposits.

Here various site establishment activities such as minimal vegetation clearing, were being undertaken. The locations for infrastructure such as offices, toilets were sited.

Depicted were was the drilling team and the Senyane Mine management discussing issues pertaining the drilling activities which were set to commence, details discussed included the drilling target points and best ways to approach it considering the terrain, and undertaking these activities in a way that doesn’t conflict with the EA conditions.

This depicts the actual drilling on the site. Rotary drilling was employed and chip samples were collected and sent to a lab to acquire the preliminary geochemical data from points of greater anomaly as per geophysical report from the study conducted earlier.

Depicted here was trenching activities and overburden removal activities, to aid in the study of the exposed mineral deposit outcrops, their morphology, orientation and size. Stockpiling of the overburden for rehabilitation purposes was also conducted.

Depicted here, was the process of screening the excavated material with the aim of acquiring finely grained material. The process was carried out with small-scale screens.

This depicts the finely grained Manganese ore material and the screen utilized for this process. The screened material was free of most of the coarse grained silica material.
